Letter of Intent
Language preparation for professional employment in Germany
Applicant information
§ 1 Purpose of the declaration
The applicant intends, with the support of GS Consulting, to prepare for professional employment in Germany and to apply for suitable employment opportunities. Both parties acknowledge that sufficient German language skills are an essential element of successful professional and social integration in Germany.
§ 2 Personal language commitment
The applicant declares that they will learn German actively, continuously and independently. Language preparation is an essential part of the application and integration process supported by GS Consulting.
These timeframes are personal guideline targets and do not guarantee a particular learning outcome. If the intended profession, recognition process, an employer or an immigration procedure requires a different or higher language level, that requirement takes precedence.
§ 3 German courses offered by GS Consulting
GS Consulting may offer the applicant online German courses to support their language preparation. Participation is voluntary and subject to a fee. The corresponding costs are borne by the applicant and are communicated transparently before any enrolment.
GS Consulting does not issue official language certificates. Where an official certificate is required for recruitment, professional recognition, a visa or any other procedure, the applicant must take the corresponding examination with a recognised examination provider. Registration and examination fees charged by that provider are borne by the applicant.
§ 4 Requirement before submitting an application
Before electronically submitting an application, the applicant must read this Letter of Intent in full and expressly accept it. Without this confirmation, the application cannot be submitted through the GS Consulting online form.
§ 5 No guarantee
This Letter of Intent does not create any entitlement to placement, recognition of a professional qualification, issuance of a visa, conclusion of an employment contract or entry into Germany. Decisions concerning recognition, residence permits and employment are made exclusively by the competent authorities and employers.
§ 6 Non-binding nature and costs borne by the candidate
This declaration of intent documents the candidate’s serious intention to prepare for a professional and linguistic project in Germany. Signing this declaration and submitting an application to GS Consulting are free of charge. This declaration does not, by itself, constitute a paid service contract and does not create any payment obligation towards GS Consulting.
As part of the candidate’s professional project in Germany, certain necessary costs may nevertheless arise and are, as a rule, borne by the candidate. These include in particular:
- fees for language courses in which the candidate chooses to participate;
- registration and examination fees for obtaining an official language certificate;
- costs of sworn or certified translations of diplomas, certificates and other documents;
- costs of legalisation, authentication or certification of documents where required;
- official fees for recognition, assessment or equivalence of diplomas and professional qualifications;
- other personal administrative fees that may be required by the competent authorities or bodies.
These costs are not application or placement fees charged by GS Consulting. They are generally paid directly by the candidate, unless an employer, authority, funding body or another third party expressly agrees to cover all or part of them.
Any paid service offered directly by GS Consulting is subject to prior and transparent information about its content and price and to a separate agreement with the candidate.
§ 7 Electronic confirmation and copy
By confirming the online application form, the applicant declares that they have read and understood this Letter of Intent in full. After successful submission of the application, the applicant receives a copy of the accepted version of this Letter of Intent together with the confirmation email.

Binding personal declaration
I confirm that I have read this Letter of Intent in full and understood it.
By confirming today, I declare that from today onward I will learn German actively, continuously and independently. My goal is first to reach level A2 and subsequently – insofar as required for my professional path – at least level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
I understand that sufficient German language skills are an essential requirement for my successful professional and social integration in Germany and that achieving the required language level is my own responsibility.
